Born from a Vision: In 2023, Dr. Abdullahi Ya’u, a dedicated microfinance specialist and monetary economics researcher, witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of hyperinflation on the lives of ordinary Nigerians. The rapid erosion of the Naira’s value discouraged savings and credit at the micro level, stifling economic growth and individual well-being. Driven by a strong desire to empower his community and build a more resilient financial future, Dr. Ya’u envisioned a solution that lay not in traditional banking, but in a unique approach leveraging the timeless value of gold. Thus, Goldmen S&C was born, a pioneering cooperative society dedicated to promoting gold as a reliable store of value and a key to unlocking financial security for rural communities.
